Jonathan heads up Africa Heir Hunters. Born in Zimbabwe, he was educated at Prince Edward and Rhodes University. With a degree in economics and journalism, he has worked as a journalist, economist and market analyst in the South Africa, Australia and the UK. In 2010 after the sale of his email information service Zfn, Jonathan ventured into publishing through New Zanj. The flagship publication of the group is the Central African Stock Exchanges (CASE) Handbook, which covers the Botswana, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe stock markets.
Africa Heir Hunters was started in 2013 as he discovered there were many dead and missing shareholders in the old Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. He has been engaged to clean up share registers on behalf of several companies and most recently been engaged by Masawara Plc (listed on AIM) to locate shareholders in TA Holdings to enable the group to buy out minorities.
An amateur historian, he has published several papers in the Heritage of Zimbabwe journal. He is currently working on a book to celebrate Harare’s 125th anniversary, which will be released in September 2015.
